Sister Karen JoseRGN Dip HSPractice Nurse - Karen is our nurse lead for Diabetes, Coronary Heart Disease, Hypertension and Stroke. She also provides our travel health services, cervical screening tests and ECGs. Karen also provides coil checks and pill checks.
Sister Janet DrinkwaterRGNPractice Nurse - Janet is our nurse lead for Asthma and COPD. She also provides travel health advice, cervical cytology screening, weight monitoring and childhood immunisations.
Sister Anne MaddisonRGN Practice Nurse - Anne provides annual monitoring reviews for Asthma, CHD and Hypertension. She is our Lead Nurse for patients with Learning Disabilities and is also able to do Cervical Screening, ECG recording, NHS Healthchecks and Primary Prevention reviews for those patients who are at increased risk of heart disease.
Debbi BairdHealthcare Assistant - Debbi is our Healthcare Assistant and provides a full phlebotomy service (i.e. blood testing) for the practice. Debbi also does ECG recording at GP's request and will also check heights and weights.
Louise LeonardLouise is a member of our Reception team who has undertaken special training to enable her to take blood samples. She now provides a phlebotomy clinic on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Practice manager

Julie JohnstonBSc(Hons) Dip EM Practice Manager - Julie is responsible for the management of the practice which involves the finances, personnel, IT systems, communication with patients as well as the liaison with neighbouring practices and Northumberland CCG. The Practice Manager should be the first point of contact for patients wishing to register a complaint, suggestions for improvement or constructive feedback.
Nicola LambReception Manager - Nicola is responsible for the management of the reception team, ensuring that reception is adequately manned at all times, she manages the appointments system, identifying potential problems when clinicians are on leave etc. and she also provides administrative support for many of our recall systems such as diabetes and childhood immunisations.
Joyce DickinsonPractice Administrator - Joyce is responsible for much of the financial support required by the practice, generating invoices, administering the payroll and keeping the practice accounts updated and reconciled. She is also the health and safety lead for the practice and arranges maintenance and repairs to the health centre building and equipment.

Will InnesWill Innes is a consultant Medical Ophthalmologist employed by the Newcastle Upon Tyne NHS foundation trust. On Mondays he brings a team from the Newcastle Eye Centre to the health centre to run a subspecialist eye clinic. The team use a state of the art eye scanner and two specially equipped treatment rooms to deliver specialist macular assessment and treatment in the community once a week.
