Ladies who have recently had a cervical cytology test may experience a delay in receiving their results. These are currently taking up to 8 weeks to arrive but a letter should be sent to you direct from the screening service. The delay has not affected any onward referrals for abnormal results – these will have been sent within the 2 week target.
