Patients aged 40-74 who do not have any existing cardiovascular conditions such as coronary heart disease, diabetes or hypertension are encouraged to attend for an NHS Health Check every 5 years. We will invite you by text message at an appropriate time and aim to work through our list of eligible patients over a 5 year period. After the Health Check you will be sent a letter with information about your health, highlighting any risk factors or areas where you can reduce your risk of developing long term issues such as high blood pressure, diabetes, BMI, Cholesterol level etc. This is intended to help prevent the development of future problems and also to find any undiagnosed problems associated with these measures.
