You are welcome to bring someone with you when you see the doctor or nurse. You may wish to give this particular consideration if you think you will require an intimate examination or need some emotional support. A member of the staff here would also be able to chaperone you during an intimate examination if required. In most cases you will be asked whether you wish to have a chaperone prior to the procedure but please do not hesitate to ask the doctor or nurse if this is not routinely offered – they will not be offended.
