Repeat prescriptions

The most effective and convenient method for ordering repeat prescriptions is via our Online Access service. Please ask a receptionist for details of how to register for this service or see the Online Access section of the website for more details.

If you do not have access to a computer,  repeat prescriptions can also be requested by telephone on the main surgery number, followed by option 1. Please note that access to the repeat prescription line is restricted to afternoons so that our receptionists can respond more quickly to urgent calls which come through during the morning. This should mean that patients spend less time on hold waiting for the prescription line to be answered.

Dispensing patients will have medications dispensing here at the surgery.

Non-dispensing patients have prescriptions sent electronically to a nominated pharmacy, the details of which should be checked when you order to ensure that your order is sent to the correct location. If you are on regular repeat medications you may be suitable for repeat dispensing which means a batch of prescriptions can be sent to your nominated pharmacy covering 6 months or 12months so that you do not have to order every month.

We are keen to ensure that patients with ongoing medical problems are monitored regularly. If the date for your next review with a doctor or nurse has passed you may be asked to make an appointment.

If you have a query about your medications or you want to order an item which is not listed on your repeat medications list please ring reception who will put your request through to a doctor for approval.
