- Exemption badge for use on mobile phone
- Exemption badge to print and use
- Exemption card to print and cut
Please do not ask the GP to provide evidence of your exemption.
Patients who are shielding
The latest information and guidance for Shielded patients can be found on the government website by clicking on the link here. Recent changes to the guidance for shielded patients and the definitions of shielding are also summarised there.
From the early days of the COVID pandemic it was clear that the virus was likely to be most dangerous to patients in certain risk groups and, as a result, arrangements were made to ‘shield’ these patients from the disease. The criteria for identifying these patients has changed over time so some patients were initially identified by the Department of Health whilst others were identified by Hospital Consultants and GPs.
Help is available for those who are shielding and may be struggling to access shopping, medications or other support services. Please contact the surgery and we can put you in touch with organisations who can help.
