Corbridge Medical Group

Disabled access

The health centre is accessible by wheelchair and all toilets are suitable for disabled patients. We have a lift which takes patients between the lower ground floor (accessed through a lobby from the staff car park) and the main waiting area. Disabled parking is available next to the ambulance bay near the main entrance.

Patients are called to see the doctor using the TV screen in the waiting room. If you have difficulty seeing the screen or hearing the beep when a patient is called please let the receptionist know and the doctor or nurse will come to collect you from the waiting room. The waiting area has a hearing loop system for those with hearing aids.

Our consulting rooms are numbered to assist patients in accessing the correct room. Rooms 1-10 are on the main consulting corridor along with Podiatry and the Treatment Room. The Enhanced Treatment Room is to the left of the reception area and consulting rooms A,B and C are in the corridor to the right of the dispensary along with the Baby Clinic.

Should you have any further recommendations as to how we could assist disabled patients, please contact the Practice Manager.
